What a lovely stay! The location was super convenient for getting around on public transport, making it easy to explore the area without needing a car. The staff were friendly and always ready to help, especially when I needed assistance with the WiFi. Plus, the cozy atmosphere kept me feeling right at home after a long day of sightseeing!
The room was a bit dim for reading, even with all the lights on, which made winding down in the evenings a little tricky. the breakfast hours could’ve been extended. But honestly, these were small quibbles in an otherwise enjoyable experience!

I appreciated pet-friendly and newly remodelled room in this hotel.
Wonderful old and reasonably priced hotel with very friendly staff on reception desk. The room I booked was dirty shower had to be cleaned before use and available with a view. Location: the property was short walk to storage space and the centre of the walking mecca.

It was just a reliable pick for a fleeting trip in Ambleside with value for money. The chicken liver pate with toast was quite nice. Make sure to check for sufficient food portions when ordering.

We enjoyed exploring the lakes and headed to Lytham St Annes for some lovely seaside views. The location was perfect, and the room was clean. Breakfast was really good, and the staff were friendly despite being busy.
The only downside was the coffee situation. It was a bummer to find out the machine was switched off early, hard to get a cup as we wanted.

The ambleside inn is in a perfect location, right on the corner of the main road. Parking was easy too! The staff were so accommodating, especially in the evenings, great to relax with our drinks after long walks. I loved the unique option to forgo room service for a free drink each night, both eco-friendly and great for staff. Really good food options too!

The breakfast was consistently good, and we appreciated being able to have full meals on-site. The atmosphere was lively, and the local cask beers were a great touch. Hannah stood out with her really good service skills, making us feel welcomed.
it was a bit disappointing having to climb three sets of stairs for our room, especially for one in our party with mobility issues.

Noise issues from the street can be quite disruptive!!! The bathroom facilities could be updated to improve comfort!!! Consider providing additional sockets near the bed for convenience!!!

The staff was super kind n supportive even though they were kinda understaffed. Breakfast was really good, loved the variety n the cooked options. Location is decent too, not too far from car park. Really felt they tried their best to make us cosy n comfy. The vibe of the inn is nice, felt at home.
The check-in was a bit lackluster, seemed like they were overwhelmed. The room was smaller than expected n the bathroom could use a bit of updating.
